Your Weekend Guide for June 23-25, 2017

Reality show stars, Hot Dog runs, and Everclear! Midland has something for everyone this weekend, so make some time to check out these fantastic events!

Star Struck 2017 Housewives Night Out

“The Cabs are heeeeeere! The Cabs are heeeeeere!” If those words remind you of the days of MTV’s Jersey Shore and you’ve always wanted to meet one of the “stars” of the show, here may be the opportunity of a lifetime. But wait there’s more! Not only will Pauly D be DJ’ing the event, for those Real Housewives fans, you will also have the opportunity to meet Teresa Giudice (RHONJ) and Vicki Gunvalson (RHOOC)! Come out to the Commemorative Air Force Museum Center Hangar from 7pm to midnight for the red carpet party! And if you don’t get your fill there, head on over to the Four Points Sheraton at midnight for the after party! The 3rd Annual Hot Dog Run

The 3rd Annual Hot Dog Run takes place at Midland College Saturday morning at 8am. There is a chip timed 5k and also a 1k walk. There will also be lots of contests and prizes, including the biggest and smallest dog, the cutest dog, the owner that most looks like their dog, the best costume, the best trick, and the best dressed runner (just a hint: if you come dressed as a hot dog, you will probably have a leg up on the competition!) All funds raised from the event help cover the costs of the Enhanced Adoption Center at PetSmart and toward the capital campaign to build the Van and Joe Mabee Wellness and Treatment Center which will house homeless pets. Everclear: The 20th Anniversary Tour

Wrap up the weekend by heading out to the Wagner-Noel to see Everclear: The 20th Anniversary Tour. It’s been twenty years since they released their multiple platinum album “So Much for the Afterglow,” and the band is celebrating the anniversary by performing the album front to back. The concert will also feature the groups Fastball and Vertical Horizon. Everclear is donating $1 per ticket sold to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that provides financial assistance to career musicians, venue workers, production staff, crew members, and their families suffering from injury, illness or disability.
