Midland Weekend Activities for Oct. 21 – 23

Fall In The Permian Basin!

It’s beginning to be a bit more Fall like in Midland.  With sunshiny highs in the low 80s this weekend, there is no excuse for not getting out and seeing what the Tall City has to offer.

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins

 If you haven’t picked out that perfect pumpkin for Halloween, head over to St. Luke’s UMC Pumpkin Patch for pumpkins, stories, photos, and more pumpkins!  All proceeds go to benefit the neighborhood Outreach Summer Program and Boy Scout Troop 160.  So shop early and shop often!  (www.stlukesumcmidland.org/outreach/pumpkin-patch/)

MOSC (Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale)

Date Night: The Finer Things

Looking for something high brow yet economical for a date night?  Come check out the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale’s Choral offering of “Voices from the Continent”.  Do a little background research on Maurice Durufle, and your date will melt.  Tickets are available at wagnernoel.com but the concert is Saturday night at First Presbyterian Church in Midland.  Don’t go to the wrong location, or this date might be your last!

 Friday = My Day?

And no matter the weather, some of you might just want to stay in Friday night.  If so, be sure to check out BasinPBS’s premiere of “Hamilton’s America” at 8pm. Who knew a musical featuring rapping forefathers would be so hip? (basinpbs.org)
