SciFridays @ Museum of the Southwest [Friday]
Are you a SciFi fan? If so, head to the Museum of the Southwest on Friday night to watch the classic Harrison Ford film, Blade Runner, in the planetarium. SciFi trivia starts at 7:30pm and the movie starts at 8pm. This movie is rated R, so make sure you get a babysitter and leave the kids at home. Snack bar, beer and wine are available. Junior League’s Buckshot Bash [Saturday]
Saturday night, the Junior League’s annual Buckshot Bash will be at the Petroleum Club in downtown Midland. Starting at 6pm, the Bash features and open bar, delicious food, plus silent and live auctions. The dance party featuring Inside Out commences at 8pm. For more information, go to www.jlmidland.org.
Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater [Sunday]
If you are looking for the weekend trifecta of a movie on Friday, a Bash on Saturday, and performing goats on Sunday, you are going to need to find something special to wrap up your weekend. And lucky for you, Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater will be at the Wagner Noel Sunday night. This family oriented blend of comedy features the juggling skills of Gregory Popovich and the talents of over thirty pets. All thirty have been rescued from animal shelter and love to perform! Be on the lookout for the new additions to the show–the goat duo of Kurt and Helga. If you have never seen performing goats, well you are probably like about 98% of the American population.
